THE borough council has supplied sandbags to areas which have been hit by flooding.
St Mary Bourne has been issued with a severe flood warning, and the borough council is monitoring this area.
The council has supplied sandbags to Brown Candover and Preston Candover, with help from Candovers Parish Council which helped arranged their distribution.
The council has warned that groundwater levels are extremely high and still rising, and with streams and ditches full and water lying in fields in many areas, there is nowhere for the water to drain away.
A supply of sandbags are ready to deploy to areas in greatest need, where flood warnings have been issued.
If you are in an area covered by a flood warning and need assistance, contact the council on 01256 844844.
