POLICE officers have reopened a road where one man died and four others were injured in a two-car crash this morning.
A white Ford Escort van was in collision with an A-class Mercedes at 6.20am at Larks Barrow Hill, on the Newbury Road to the north of Whitchurch.
The van driver died at the scene. Two men in the Mercedes received serious injuries, and two others received non-life threatening injuries. All the injured were taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
Police lifted the closures at the Newbury Road and Cole Henley Road junction early this afternoon after recovering the vehicles.
