A TALENTED mum is snap happy after scooping a top photographic accolade.

Nina Mace, a baby and children photographer, was named as one of the top 10 people photographers by The Guild of Photographers.

Her business, Nina Mace Photography, has gone from strength to strength since it launched two years ago, and last year the 37-year-old also picked up two national awards from The Guild.

The mum-of-two, who grew up in Tadley but is now based in Hemel Hempstead, still shoots much of her work in the local area and has spent the last 12 months photographing families in and around Tadley, Basingstoke and Pamber Forest.

She said: “I have had a wonderful year meeting new families, and I am so proud to have won a place in the top 10 with such a reputable organisation.

“I am already looking to 2014 and working with my customers to create some exciting new images. I am also looking to launch some photography training courses so watch this space”.

Steve Thirsk, director of The Guild of Photographers said Nina’s achievements were fantastic.

He said: “It is a testament to Nina that she has received a coveted position in the top 10 in her first year of competition.

“To recognise her exceptional level of professional skill, she has also been awarded a place in our ‘Photographers Bar’ – a unique distinction that very few photographers have received, let alone in their first year of competition.

“The category in which she competed was particularly challenging, and she now successfully stands alongside photographers who have been in the business for 15 years. We look forward to seeing her images in 2014.”

Nina was placed in the top one per cent out of photographers who submitted their pictures to The Guild throughout the year, earning her a place in the prestigious Photographers Bar. More than 10,000 images were submitted from across the UK.
