A TOTAL of £14,000 worth of debt will be written off by Hampshire County Council.
Councillor Roy Perry, Hampshire County Council leader and executive member for policy and resources, has agreed that the council should write off the irrecoverable debt.
A report on the matter stated: “It is a requirement of the county council’s financial regulations and procedures that approval for write-off irrecoverable debt greater than £5,000 is sought from the executive member for policy and resources.”
