PART of a building fell on to a footpath outside a shop in Oakridge.
The rubble from the gable end of the building fell outside the entrance to the Today’s Local store, on Oakridge Road, at around 3.30pm today.
Firefighters from Basingstoke fire station were called to the scene and used the station’s aerial ladder platform to inspect the building.
There were no reports of injuries.
Crew manager Phil Hoban said: “The shop was closed the path cordoned off until we took down all the loose parts from the building.”
It is thought the high winds and heavy rain today contributed to the damage.
Firefighters left the scene at 4.30pm.
