A PENSIONER was at home when burglars sneaked in and stole her jewellery.
The burglary in Loggon Road, Cranbourne, was one of four burglaries or attempted burglaries to take place in the town in the last fortnight.
The 79-year-old victim was at home between 2pm and 6pm on Tuesday, January 21, when burglars entered the house via an unlocked door and took the jewellery.
At about 4pm the victim noticed a man walk past her house. He is described as aged in his early 20s, with dark hair, medium build and wore a black woollen coat.
Two burglaries took place in Waterloo Avenue, Winklebury, during the day on Wednesday, January 26.
Thieves were unable to enter one house but stole gold jewellery and a money box from the other.
Burglars also attempted to break into a house in Gloucester Drive, Brighton Hill, between 11am on Friday, January 31 and 12.30pm on Sunday, February 2.
Damage was caused to a window but no entry was gained.
