A MAN "inappropriately touched" a woman while travelling on a bus from Basingstoke to Oakley.

The suspicious incident took place on the number eight bus between Basingstoke bus station and Kennet Way, Oakley, between 5pm and 5.50pm on Friday, January 31.

PC Matt Sard said: “The victim was sat minding her own business on her way home when a stranger sat next to her and touched her for no reason.”

The man is described as aged in his 20s, with olive skin, short, dark hair and was of an average build. He wore black glasses and carried a black rucksack. He is described as having a Eastern European or German accent.

PC Sard would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, and also a man who was seen walking his dog around 5.45pm that day in Oakley Lane.
