A TOWER block was cordoned off by the fire brigade after a pane of glass fell from an 11th floor window.

Police alerted Basingstoke fire station to the incident at Oakridge Towers, in Oakridge, and a crew arrived at 12.17pm this afternoon.

They removed the broken glass from outside the block of flats, which had fallen out of a window in someone’s flat.

Police are now investigating the incident.
