WORK to upgrade pedestrian crossings in Whitchurch is set to continue this weekend.

The work is due to take place for 24 hours from 7am on Sunday.

A temporary road closure will be in place in Newbury Street, with diversions in place. Winchester Street will subject to temporary two-way traffic signals.

Except the workmen said it had been finished last week, and it certainly looks it.

To be fair, I feel sorry for the hard-copy press who are now so often behind in reporting, now that the internet communication is so much better. Newspapers are no longer the first call for news and they need to address this if they are to survive.
They have a hard job, but times have changed.
