BAD weather led to the postponement of a ceremony to ward off evil spirits in Hartley Wintney.
The village’s annual Wassail was due to take place on Friday, January 3, with a torchlight procession from The Waggon and Horses pub to the Vaughan Millennium Orchard.
The pagan ceremony is said to help protect the village’s harvest of fruit. It will now take place on Friday, January 17, from 7pm.
