MOTORISTS experienced delays this morning after a three-car crash on the M3 at Basingstoke.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was called at 7.49am with a report that a car had crashed into the central reservation on the motorway.

The crash, between junctions six and seven on the southbound carriageway, blocked the outside lane and caused delays of up to 45 minutes.

All vehicles were recovered by 9.30am this morning, but traffic was still queueing back towards Hook.

Crews from Basingstoke Fire Station and an ambulance and rapid response vehicle were on the scene to deal with the crash.
