99 crimes in village in 2013

CRIME in Overton has fallen over the last 12 months.

The total number of crimes reported in the village during 2013 was 99, a fall from 121, reported in 2012.

Councillor Paula Baker, borough councillor for Overton, Laverstoke and Steventon said: “It is really good to see that the number of reported crimes is the lowest in 10 years.”

But what about the crime-wave that came with the Carfest? They MUST have massaged the figures. Perhaps figures are down because they've managed to stop people parking outside other peoples houses?
