A DRIVER has been arrested following the three-vehicle crash that closed the A339 near Kingsclere.
The crash took place near the Sandford Springs Golf Club at 5.35pm on Monday, January 6.
It involved a white Renault Kangoo van heading south towards Basingstoke and a blue Ford Fiesta and a grey Vauxhall Astra, both heading towards Kingsclere.
The Fiesta driver, a 32-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital. There were no other serious injuries.
The van driver, a 46-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with excess alcohol and bailed until February 25.
As reported in The Gazette, the road was closed in both directions for several hours while police carried out an investigation into the crash.
