NOMINATIONS have opened for Hampshire County Council’s Good Neighbour Awards.

The awards were set up in 2005 to recognise those living in Hampshire who volunteer and support their neighbours, whether by working with young people with disabilities, organising coffee mornings or helping less able neighbours with chores.

Council chairman Councillor Ken Thornber will host this year’s ceremony in the Great Hall, Winchester, on March 20. Nominations can be made by downloading a form from hants.gov.uk/goodneighbourawards, using the form in the latest edition of Hampshire Now magazine or by requesting one via civic.events@hants.gov.uk.

The closing date for nominations is January 20.
