A USED car sales showroom could soon occupy a vacant unit at Bagmore Yard, in Bagmore Lane, Herriard, creating two full-time jobs.
Herriard Motors has applied to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to change the use of the land in a move which could pave the way for the used car sales showroom.
If it gets the go-ahead, the new showroom will see two staff employed from nearby village Steventon.
Herriard Motors plans to use the site solely for car sales and expects to have four to six visitors a day with many sales completed on the internet and by scheduled appointment.
If approved, the application will fill the unit which has been left empty since 2011, and will be open between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm on Saturdays and on Sundays and Bank Holidays, if appointments have been booked.
The previous use of the unit at Bagmore Yard involved the sale of garden sheds and buildings, fencing and other garden items.
