A BURST water main in Eastrop has disrupted the water supply to 16 homes and left a nearby road flooded this morning.

South East Water was alerted to a burst water main in Churchill Way East, leading to Eastrop roundabout, in Basingstoke town centre, at 4.15am on December 28.

Steve Andrews, head of customer and commercial services said: “A technician was immediately sent out to investigate and the water main was fixed by approximately 6.15am. We estimate that just 16 properties were affected during this time.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and thank our customers for their patience during this time. If any customers experience water supply problems, they can contact us on 03330 000365.”
