HATE crime is on the increase in Hampshire.
Latest figures show that in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, 1,132 hate crimes were reported to the police in 2011-12, and 1,203 were reported the following year.
Hate crimes are offences targeting individuals or communities because of who they are, on grounds such as race or religion.
The figures were published in a report by the Home Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Office for National Statistics.
