A WOMAN was pushed to the ground and hit her head outside a Basingstoke supermarket.

The assault took place outside the Morrisons supermarket in Worting Road around 10.30am on Tuesday, December 10.

Paramedics treated the woman after staff were alerted to the incident by a member of the public.

A woman helped the victim into the store but didn’t stay until police arrived.

Sergeant Emily Langdon said: “We really need to speak to the woman who helped the victim. She might have vital information for our investigation.”

A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but was released with no further action.
