A reindeer helped to make the annual Christmas fair at Tadley Pet Supplies extra special as customers joined staff for a festive celebration.

The store, which holds the event each year to say thank you to customers, this year welcomed more than double the amount of guests than last year.

Owner Andrew Green said: “We give each child who comes along a present, and this year we had so many here that we ran out of presents and had to go and buy some more.

“We had around 150 children plus their parents, and it was a really lovely event. It’s not often that you get something for free these days, but we like to buy chocolate for the children just to say thank you to all of our customers.”

As well as the reindeer, which were donated for the afternoon by company Animal Dramatics, there was a visit from Father Christmas and plenty of refreshments for the adults to |enjoy.

Mr Green added: “Word of the event just spread through the grapevine and we were delighted so many people came along.

“It’s a really nice community event and I was really touched that a couple of the children took the time to write us a thank-you card.”
