A VAN driver dragged a young man out of his car in a road rage attack near a Basingstoke roundabout.

The incident took place on the A30 near the Winchester Road Roundabout, at about 12.30pm on Tuesday, December 3.

The attack took place after a dispute between the van driver, in a white Vokswagen Crafter, and the 20-year-old victim, driving a silver Ford Fiesta.

The van driver is believed to have dragged the victim out of his car, smashed his wing mirror and threatened him.

He is described as white, aged in his late 40s with short, light brown hair. He wore a blue jumper, blue jeans and light blue shoes and had a red “sleeve” tattoo on his left arm.

Police particularly want to speak to one witness, a man who slowed down and spoke to the offender.
