CEREMONIAL medals and a gas mask were among the items stolen from a house near Basingstoke railway station.

Thieves broke into the house in Phoenix Park Terrace, South View, at 11.30am on Sunday, December 1.

They stole items including the gas mask and medals, two silver designer watches, two passports, two digital cameras and video editing software.

PC David Catchpole said: “This burglary happened during the day on the outskirts of the main town centre and it is therefore likely that people would have been in the area.”
