FATHER Christmas will tour Basingstoke this month to raise money for charity.

The annual Santa float will visit various locations in the town between 5.30pm and 6pm, starting tonight in Hoopers Way, Oakley.

He will be in the same location on December 6, before visiting Lychpit shopping centre on December 9 and 10 and Chineham Village Hall on December 11, 12 and 13.

On December 16, Santa will be at the Co-op, in Winklebury, followed by Gillies Health Centre, in Brighton Hill on December 17. The float will visit Brookvale on December 18 and 19 before finishing at Taylor’s Farm, Sherfield Park, on December 20.

Donations collected by The Rotary Club of Basingstoke Loddon, which organises the float, will be shared between various charities including Basingstoke Dial-a-Ride and the Camrose Centre.
