AN APPEAL for new and unused presents, games and toys has gone out in the hope it will help a hospital children’s ward.

At Access Self Storage, in Basingstoke, a special drop-off point has been created, where people can make donations at the shop in Rankine Road.

People are being asked to donate now so that the presents can be delivered to Frimley Park Hospital F1 Children’s Ward in time for Christmas.

Access Self Storage Basing-stoke store manager Duncan Robson said: “Last year was such a success as we had over 100 donations.

“This year, we hope that the public will get behind us to support such a great charity and beat last year’s total. Please, please donate now to the appeal so we can really make a difference to children this Christmas”

A spokesman from Frimley Park Hospital F1 Children’s Ward said: “We are grateful that Access Self Storage in Basingstoke has chosen the Children's Ward at Frimley Hospital for their Christmas Toy donation appeal this year.

“We look forward to the opportunity of working with Access once again, following the success of the toy appeal two years ago, which enabled each child to receive a present on Christmas morning.”
