IT’S been a great success for the last two years – and now tickets for the 2014 CarFest have gone on sale.

Broadcaster Chris Evans has confirmed some of the details for next year’s festival, which will be held again at Jody and Clare Scheckter’s Laverstoke Park Farm, near Overton, over the August Bank Holiday weekend from August 22 to August 24.

Acts confirmed for the music line-up so far include Erasure and Seasick Steve, and more acts will be revealed over the coming weeks and months.

Fast cars, live music and festival food will keep the crowds entertained at the family-friendly event, which this year raised £500,000 for Children in Need.

Tickets went on sale at 7am yesterday, during this week’s Children in Need appeal.

A second phase of tickets will go on sale in the spring.

Chris said: “To date we’ve had some absolutely brilliant fun and raised more than £2million for BBC Children in Need. How could we not do it all over again in 2014?

“I promise you that CarFest will be even bigger and even more fun than ever before.

“Don’t ask me how we’re going to top what we’ve already achie-ved but, believe me, we will.

“There’ll be more great bands, more fantastic cars, more fabulous food, more unbelievable air displays, more terrific sideshows, more of everything, in fact.

“It gets me all excited just talking about – I already can’t wait for the gates to open.”
