SCREAMING teenagers really made a big noise when Basingstoke’s biggest boy band visited their school as part of an anti-drugs tour.
Concept performed for pupils at The Costello School, in Crossborough Hill, before delivering a more serious message about the dangers of drugs.
The five lads, who are all former Queen Mary’s College students, sang a selection of cover songs and a few of their own hits before talking to Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils about drugs.
Helen Ward, learning resources manager and personal social health and economics co-ordinator, said: “It was excellent. They did two performances for us. We took over the sports hall and they spoke to Year 7 and 8 and then Year 9.
“I had seen some good reviews from other schools. It’s not the regular sort of thing we would book, but the kids were listening to every word."
