THIS is the man police want to speak to in connection with an attempted murder in Basingstoke.

Detectives investigating the stabbing, near Aldworth School, in the early hours of October 27, are appealing for help in finding 19-year-old Jamie Rogers, from Basingstoke, who is wanted in connection with their investigation.

A 19-year-old man suffered serious injuries during the altercation in Pinkerton Road, South Ham.

Detective Constable Dan Leese, from Basingstoke CID, said: “We urgently want to speak to Jamie Rogers about this incident.

“Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to find him, but we are now appealing for the public’s help. If you know where he is, please call us.

“I would also appeal directly to Jamie and encourage him to contact the police.”

Detectives have arrested three men on suspicion of attempted murder. A 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, from Basingstoke, and a 28-year-old man, from London, have been bailed until December, pending further enquiries.
