Borough council start legal procedure to move large Houndmills traveller camp
A TRAVELLER camp of more than half a dozen caravans has set up in Houndmills.
On Wednesday eight caravans, and 10 vehicles were pitched on Kingsclere Road, next to the turn off into Joule Road.
The group were earlier moved on by police from a site in Gershwin Road, Brighton Hill.
According to a council spokeswoman, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is starting legal action to move them on, which will take between a week and 10 days.
