FINANCIAL backing will continue to be given a charitable trust which manages an open community space in Whitchurch.
Whitchurch Town Council unanimously agreed at its meeting on September 2 to grant funds to the Millennium Green Trust, which runs the Millennium Meadow in Winchester Street.
Councillor Dave Titcomb, who is a member of the trust, said: “What people want is for us to provide a barbecue, more bins and access to the stream.
“We have also had advice on how to better maintain the stream and to clear the river to keep wildlife and pond life returning.”
