STORE workers in Hook stepped up to the challenge of raising hundreds of pounds for charity.
Staff at Tesco, in Station Road, raised £650 by completing more than 90,000 steps in three days on aerobic equipment placed at the entrance of the supermarket.
The money will go to Diabetes UK, this year’s chosen charity for the supermarket giant.
Sandra McFadden, community champion for the store, said: “The amount of support we got from the community coming in to the store was fantastic.
“A couple of kids were trying to get on the boards as well, and it was good to see so many people willing to talk about their experience of diabetes as well.”
Other fundraising challenges planned by staff at the store include a weight loss competition, country walks and parachute jumps.
