Car stolen from garage in Hamelyn Close, Basingstoke

POLICE have today issued an appeal for witnesses after a BMW was stolen from Basingstoke householders who were on holiday.

The incident happened between 1.30pm on Friday, March 8 and 8.30am on Tuesday, March 19 at a house in Hamelyn Close in Kings Furlong.

While the homeowners were on holiday, entry was forced into their home and the offenders took the keys for a white BMW X1 which was then stolen from the garage.

Items of jewellery and a mobile phone were also taken.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Mark Pullman at Basingstoke police station by phoning 101.
