Man charged with making threats to kill in Selborne

THE man who sparked a major police operation in Hampshire was set to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today.
Anthony Betsworth, aged 52, of Selborne Road, Selborne, is charged with making threats to kill following an incident at an address in Selborne Road, Selborne, on March 13.
His activities caused the road from Alton to Selborne and Greatham to be shut in the early hours of Wednesday, as well as a nearby primary school.
