Cadets seek new recruits

YOUNGSTERS with a dream of flying are being urged to consider joining the air cadets.
The Basingstoke 443 Air Training Corps, based at the TA Centre in Penrith Road, Brookvale, is holding an open day on March 16 from 10am to 1pm in a bid to attract more recruits.
The training corps, run by commanding officer Flight Lieutenant Ian Bruce, is open to people aged between 13 and 20.
Members have to pay a monthly £10 subscription and can get the chance to fly planes and gliders, as well as trying shooting and adventure training.
Youngsters who are keen to sign up must attend the open day with a parent or guardian.
