Blacks staff 'acted appropriately'

AN investigation into the way staff in Blacks, in Basingstoke’s Festival Place, handled an incident in their store has concluded that they “acted appropriately.”

As reported in last Thursday’s Gazette, 42-year-old Chris Derrick, a father-of-four from Brighton Hill, complained that staff did not do enough to help a woman who was unconscious and bleeding inside the store on February 23.

But Jane Brisley, company secretary for Blacks, said staff “promptly sought assistance from the centre’s trained first aiders and also called an ambulance”.

She added: “The first aiders and paramedics arrived swiftly. We hope the lady has a full and speedy recovery.”

So, will Mr Derrick be published in the Gazette apologising for his disgusting slur on the Blacks staff? The test of a real man.

I'd imagine a silmiliar complaint would of been lodged in the event it was another shop.

Ok, it's not nice to witness this type of event but come on, what more could they do?
