A THIEF broke into a country home to steal electronic equipment and jewellery.

The burglary took place between 10.40am and 1.45pm on Wednesday, February 13, at a house in Steventon, near Overton.

The thief broke into the house through a set of patio doors. Items stolen included a Toshiba laptop, a hard drive, jewellery and a new and un-used Blackberry Curve mobile phone.

Officers have new released an efit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary.

PC Mark Pullman said a silver or grey hatchback car, which was possibly a Volkswagen Golf, was seen in the area in suspicious circumstances at the time.
