HAMPSHIRE Constabulary’s team of lesbian and gay liaison officers will be supporting LGBT History Month.
The specialist officers work alongside lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.
The annual LGBT History Month in February is themed around maths, science, and engineering.
Officers will be visiting schools and community events to highlight issues such as homophobia and bullying.
They will use the example of Second World War code breaker and computing pioneer Alan Turing who was persecuted for being homosexual.
