sounds like workfare to me are they paying them or not?
I have nothing but respect for the Prince's Trust for continuing to try and get young adults into work through the many initiatives they sponsor and organise.

Plus they will be trained, gain qualifications and some work experience, get help with their CVs and self-esteem and at the end be far better placed to find employment. So I really could not understand wight1337's comment about workfare.

How is coercing people into forced labour, under the threat of sanctions should they refuse, for renumeration which amounts to one quarter of the supposedly national minimum wage likely to bestow on them the work ethic?
All they are learning is how to be exploited, an underclass of expendable fodder blackmailed into submission in order to feed the corporate greed machine and the corrupt political elite whose snouts are in the same filthy trough.
Whether this scheme is part of that or not I don't know, which is why I asked. But most of the current workfare is shelfstacking for private companies subsidised by the tax payer and at the same time destroying real paid work. Either that or being forced to work in a charity shop of a pseudo charity which has a CEO and board of directors all on £150K a year of the money taken from the money donated to the cause.
