A BASINGSTOKE college is in the top 25 per cent of colleges across the country after gaining its best-ever set of results.

Following the final publication of “success and achievement rates” of results from this summer’s exams, Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) has revealed that 95 per cent of students passed their vocational courses this year, which is four per cent above the national average.

A total of 84 per cent achieved English and maths qualifications.

Anthony Bravo, principal at the college, in Worting Road, said: “The results demonstrate our students are inspired, succeed and excel, progressing to their next level and with a great foundation for a future career.

“I am absolutely thrilled with the results.”
