Basingstoke Naomi House hospice shop temporarily taken over

THE Basingstoke Naomi House hospice shop is to be taken over temporarily by a gaggle of fundraisers as part of a money-making push for the Sutton Scotney-based charity.
A team from VMware, based in Frimley, will be taking part in the charity event Ultimate Store Wars.
Iain Davie, regional alliances manager at VMware, is one of the team of six who will be competing against other teams of colleagues battling to raise the most money for the children’s hospice today.
Based around a theme of Freaky Friday, Iain and his team – Dean Walsh, Ed Dolman, David Holmes, Sally Donohoe and Simon Heaver – will be in fancy dress at the store in Church Street for the day, trying to lure in customers to spend cash.
Iain said: “There will be face painting for the kids, apple bobbing and Hallowe’en bakes and tricks for sale at the takeover day.”
The team are already raising money online for Naomi House at justgiving.com/ultimatestorewars-vmware, and the money they raise in-store on the day itself will be added to their online total in a bid to be crowned Ultimate Store Wars Champion 2012.
