Solid round ends Rose's Open bid
JUSTIN Rose ended his 2008 Open with a respectable 18 holes at Royal Birkdale.
The Hampshire-born golfer recorded a round of three-over-par as he was one of the early finishers on the final day's play with a score of +21.
However, the 27-year-old's hopes of claiming the famous claret jug were effectively ended during the third round, after he dropped a total of 12 shots over the 18 holes to leave him well down the field.
