Town defeated by struggling Dorchester
BASINGSTOKE Town slumped to a 1-0 defeat away at Blue Square South strugglers Dorchester on Saturday.
Nick Eastham scored the only goal of a scrappy, low quality encounter in the eighth minute, poking the ball home from close range after Town 'keeper Nick Jones had saved brilliantly from Jones Awuah.
James Taylor should have levelled the scores after 24 minutes but headed against the post with the goal gaping and, even with a strong wind behind them in the second half, Basingstoke failed to find an equaliser.
