Sir.–Following my move to UKIP, after leaving the Conservatives, I would like to thank everyone who came to my drop-in session at Sainsbury's Tadley last Sunday.
I was encouraged by the support that local residents have shown by telling me that it was myself that they elected and not the Conservative Party.
It seems that many residents in Tadley are thinking what I am thinking on issues such as the economy, Europe and law and order.
It may surprise some local Conservatives that on Sunday, I spoke with more than 100 people and not one of them told me that I should support the idea of cutting our police and health budgets so that we can send more money to support the failed economies in southern Europe.
