Reading challenge was great success

Sir.–I work as a volunteer coordinator for Basingstoke Discovery Centre and we have just finished the National Summer Reading Challenge (Story Lab).
We came top of the county for the number of children who started and finished the challenge, so a gold medal for us!
However, we couldn't have done this without our volunteers who manned the Summer Reading desk most of the day and every day, even on Sundays.
I would like to say a big, big thank-you to all our enthusiastic, dedicated, hard-working volunteers. You are absolutely fabulous!
