Owner at fault for nasty dog attack

Sir.–I would just like to say a big thank you to the bloke walking his little brown scruffy-looking dog on the morning of Sunday, July 29, at around 10am in the Down Grange area for allowing his dog to attack ours twice for no apparent reason – wounding our dog’s ear to the point of drawing blood.

Our dog was just minding his own business and trotting along like he does when he was attacked by this other dog while the owner did very little to get it away.

We managed to separate them but it came back a second time and started quite viciously attacking again.

A little word of advice to whoever you are. Control tour dog by keeping it on a lead and getting it muzzled or have the animal put down.

Next time it may be a small child. Our dog now has a nasty wound on his ear through no fault of his own. Once again, thank you!
