Help needed with chapel requests

Sir.–Basingstoke Archaeological and Historical Society has recently received requests from two separate PhD students asking for information and photographs of various local chapels that have either been demolished or converted to other uses.

We have been able to supply some information but not as much as we would like.

The chapels of interest are: Pyotts Hill, Old Basing, Mapledurwell and Farleigh Wallop Congregational chapels; Flaxfield Road Primitive Methodist and Baptist chapels; the mission chapels in May Street and George Street and St Andrew’s in Reading Road.

If any readers have photographs of these buildings that they would allow us to copy and to be used.

I would be delighted to arrange copying. Copyright, where appropriate, would, of course, remain with the owner of the photo. Every care would be taken to ensure any photo loaned was returned promptly and in the condition it was received. Any information on the use and date of closure etc would be helpful. I can be contacted on 01256 465439.
