Store helping to make a difference

Sir.-I would like to thank the staff and customers of the town centre Sainsbury’s for their very kind support when the young people from Popley Spotlight Centre visited the store on the weekend of December 17 to sing songs and bag pack. They helped us to raise just over £750.

The money raised will help fund activities at the Popley Spotlight Centre for children and young people from all over Basingstoke and Deane who are from low income families, young carers, foster children, and children with special needs.

I would also like to thank the staff at town centre Sainsbury’s for nominating Spotlight UK (Peace of Mind Care) as their charity partner for 2011-2012.

The money will make a real difference in many lives of young people in Basingstoke.
