Sir.- Calling all residents of Oakridge and South View.
Today, at 6.30pm, a group of councillors are meeting to make some big decisions affecting the future of Oakridge and South View for a long time to come.
The council is producing a list of places in Basingstoke that can take extra housing.
Oakridge and South View has six sites in this list which as a minimum would mean at least 1,000 new houses are built in the area. But it’s not too late to stop this.
We can, with your help, persuade the committee members to reject these sites. And that’s why we need you to come along tonight and tell them what you think. In other words, we need some good old fashioned people power. So please, if you can spare half an hour tonight, please come.
–George Hood, Paul Harvey and Laura James, Councillors for Norden ward, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
