Sir.– I am looking for assistance in locating long-lost relatives.
My father Albert William Vinson, born May 26 1909 in Basingstoke, to George Albert Vinson and Emily Jane Vinson (nee Webb) is now over 100 years old and resides here. My grandparents and six children moved to Nova Scotia in 1910, having shipped over on the Southwark. He still has a spoon with the ship’s name on it that he was playing with when disembarking the ship.
Grandfather George was with New Scotland Yard as a constable, and Emily was originally from, I believe, the Isle of Wight. Should there be anyone who might assist me in locating relatives, I would be grateful.
