Doddy's still the comedy master

Sir.–Ken Dodd is renowned for his marathon performances and, at the age of 82, he recently showed at The Anvil that he is still a master of comedy.

To an audience bulging at the seams he kept a full house laughing out loud for four-and-a-half hours and with not a rude word or a smutty innuendo. Just a barrel full of talent – and stamina.

With his outstanding voice and his speedy wit, at an age when most men would be taking life easy, Ken proved once again that good family humour is a recipe for success – and may his joyful tickling stick be with us for years to come.
