The mayor and mayoress at the Basingstoke Evening WI Christmas Craft Fayre
Sir.–I would like to thank all the lovely people who came to support the Basingstoke Evening WI Christmas Craft Fayre, held recently at St Michael’s Church Cottage.
Mayor Councillor Martin Biermann and his wife Chansopha very kindly came and opened the fete and spent some time browsing the stalls and buying goods.
The Christmas Craft Fayre is a biennial event and we always support a charity with our raffle. This year, I am pleased to say that we raised £120 – and £60 was donated each to Hampshire Air Ambulance and Shopmobility.
The WI group meet on the first Tuesday of each month, at Church Cottage, and new members are very welcome.
We have a variety of activities and events going on all the time, and speakers on interesting subjects.
–Lynne Manners, Basingstoke Evening WI President, Kingsley Park, Whitchurch.
