Grateful thanks to collapse helpers

First published in Letters

Sir.–During the recent Remembrance Service at Odiham War Memorial, my wife collapsed and ended up lying in the road.

We would like to express our thanks to all of those people who provided prompt and practical help until the ambulance team arrived.

Help came from members of the public including a doctor and a nurse, and also from the Fire and Rescue Service and the RAF and civilian police. Thanks also to those who waited until we were allowed to return home.

We are very grateful to everyone, including the ambulance crew, for their support.
